Ahhhh, I made it home......well not exactly but that is exactly how you feel when you drive up to Blueprint. A gorgeous 1920ish home houses this quaint shop. Don't you love the blue doors? They make a statement of what is to come once you're inside.

What a warm and welcoming entrance as you come through those lovely blue doors. I could just drop my keys and my bag right here at the front. That's how much I felt at home. Seriously. I was greeted by the lovely Laura with warm hello and awesome Anne she gave me a cold bottle of water and a chocolate mint...thanks ladies! I was thirsty!!

Remember the big picture window? This is the room on the other side of it— staged as a dining room of sorts with several beautiful vignettes within the same room.

I love this dining room. Somehow this match up of vintage and nature just works. It's very elegant yet very unpretentious. The painting of the elephant is my favorite piece of art out of all the other beautiful pieces of art they offer, but then I'm partial to elephants.

I love the bold choice of wallpaper and the paintings of the Albert Einstein Dallas-based by Artist Brenda Bogart make this room a happy one— however the coffee table book on Pucci makes it an even happier.(for me anyway)

Let's head up stairs for a moment.........

Such a cozy sitting room. I could sit and read all day long. It's so beautiful! And if you haven't noticed by now the sisal carpet is throughout the entire house...ahem.... I mean store....Great choice ladies. The painting by another Dallas-based Sonya Edwards. Very organic.

Le Sigh.....The moment I walked in this room. I thought of a pair of chairs I passed up on one of my recent shopping excursions. They're so 70s.

More beautiful artwork, and the artist name escapes me at the moment. I'm sure the ladies at Blueprint will be able to assist you if you're seriously interested.

Time to go home..........

There is so much more to see at Blueprint.....I can't show it all but when I tell you it's a wonderful home store with wonderful people! If you're in Dallas stop by. You're sure to feel right at home.

  1. It looks completely different than last time I was in.....and I need to go over there b/c I contacted an artist in SC about doing a piece for our living room and she said she had a piece en route to Blueprint when I spoke with her last week.

  5. Your favorite dining room has to be my fav too. The mix of metal chairs and that spectacular table is to die for! One thing, that blue painting is a horse, not an elephant. :) Loved the feature!

  9. Great article and right to the point. I don't know if this is truly the best place to ask but do you folks have any idea where to employ some professional writers.
