MOONLITE MONDAY GUEST:: DAGNY OF SCANDINAVIAN CHIC

I'm so excited to be guest blogging here today! And for those of you that know me, my subject of today had to be colors :) For those of you that don't know me,  Scandinavian Chic is all about what's Scandinavian and Chic - from a maximalistic and colorful point of view.
Colors usually bring life to a home, but they can also make it disharmonious and "noisy". There's several ways and degrees of adding color, and I'm going to take you through a few of them :)

1. Colorful furniture - neutral background
Jewel toned furniture combined with a completely neutral backgrund, makes the home stylish and contemporary with a touch of Scandinavian Maximalism.

2. Colorful Artwork - neutral furniture
Colorful artwork combined with neutral furniture adds instant interest, and a very "easy to achieve" focal point of the room.
  3. Colorful Wallpaper - neutral furniture

We all love Chinoiserie wallpapers, and even though they're wonderfully maximalistic and colorful, they can bring a stunning harmony to a home. Here with Danish mid century pieces.
4. Colorful walls
There's no solution as simple or cheap as paint. I love the eclectic vibe of this home. Can you imagine how boring it would look with white walls? PS - the dark blue light fixture enhances the color of the wall and makes it even prettier :)
5. All out!
Here we're talking color on all surfaces! This home is moody, eclectic with a very European feel to it Jewel tones again. Very easy to combine, they almost always look good together. Hope you enjoyed me talking about colors... :) If you want to know more, you could always pop over to SC.

Thank you so much for having me, Tonia!!
xoxo
